UMBERTO GAVAZZA · WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Outdoor weddings only.

Born in the hills of Piedmont, Italy.

Vineyards, mountains, open skies. For couples who bring their people to Italy and celebrate under the sun — elegant, joyful, always in motion.

No walls. Just light.

I photograph weddings that happen outdoors — and only those. A long table between the vines of the Langhe, a ceremony on an alpine meadow, dancing in a garden under the open sky. If your day lives outside, in the sun and the wind, I’m your photographer.

If it lives in a ballroom — honestly, I’m not.

Born in these hills

I grew up in Monferrato, between the vineyards and the Alps. I know which hillside catches the last light in October, which mountain road is actually reachable in a wedding dress, which trattoria your guests will still talk about in ten years. You plan from Oslo, London or Zurich — I’m already here. The logistics, the light, the timing: this is home turf.

I know your traditions

The speeches are the heart of your evening — I know it. While the toastmaster works, I’m watching your parents’ faces. Every toast, every tear, every burst of laughter around the long table: that’s where I do my best work.

You live. I move around you.

No stiff posing, no interruptions. I direct you only during the couple session; the rest of the day I simply move around you while you live it. The result: real glances, real movement, real joy — elegant without ever showing off.

Planned in writing. Private by default.

Everything in English, everything in writing: clear process, clear contract, weather plan B agreed before you fly. Your gallery stays private — nothing is published without your consent. Ever.

How it works

1. Write me. Tell me your date and your place — or ask me to suggest one; I know a few.

2. We plan together. A video call, then everything in writing: timeline, locations, light, plan B. Your planner and I will already speak the same language.

3. You live your day. I’ll be there from the preparations to the last dance under the sky. Your private gallery follows — and a fine-art album, because these photographs are the one thing from this day that will still exist in thirty years.

A few weddings a year. All of them outdoors.

If your day lives under the open sky of Piedmont, write me and let’s check your date.
